Visits with Therapy Dogs Helpful for Stressed out College Students, Find Study

 

A new study out of the Virginia Commonwealth University found that college students who visited a therapy dog during finals week experienced a significant decrease in their overall stress level. Researchers noted that two of the chief benefits of visiting with therapy dogs is that it’s a relatively low cost method of stress relief that has no side effects.
