Study Uncovers Brain Protein Responsible for Chronic Pain


As a result of a recently completed study by the University College London, researchers now know that after the body experiences a significant trauma, the brain generates a protein sequence that exists to induce chronic pain in that area of the body. As a result of this breakthrough, scientists believe that they can develop new, nonnarcotic chronic pain treatments.
