Study Finds That Sunflower Seeds Can Reduce Oxidative Stress


A new study coming out of Brazil found that sesame seeds have an unexpected health benefit; eating them can reduce the effects of oxidative stress.

Scientists operating out of Brazil found that sunflower seeds have the effect of reducing the amount of free radicals in a person’s bloodstream. Pending further research, doctors might soon be recommending the consumption of sunflower seeds to reduce a person’s risk factor for contracting illnesses like heart disease or cancer.
