Stress Makes Physical Pain Worse

A new study shows that stress can reduce our ability to withstand physical pain. The research found that psychological stress significantly increases pain intensity while reducing the ability to cope with it. After the study, the researchers found that the men who experienced higher levels of psychological stress had a much lower ability to withstand pain, compared with men who had lower stress levels.
