Inada Flex 3sAlan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com’ and today we’re going to demonstrate the remote control of the new Inada Flex 3s massage chair. Now, you’ll notice that the remote control is housed in a little pouch off the side of the right arm airbag, easy to access when you’re upright, and in a reclined position. Now, the first thing I want to, we’re going to point out, we’re going to demonstrate the whole remote control to you, so you can get a feeling for what you can expect with this chair. You’ve got a power button up here. When it’s green, you can turn anything on. When it’s yellow, you can recline, and incline the chair, but you can not turn on any of the programs. If you use the emergency stop, that button turns red, and nothing will work. So, you’ve got, you won’t incline, recline, none of the programs will work, nothing, it’s all systems stop. Well, you’ll need to get back, either to the yellow, to move the chair up or down, or green, to begin one of the programs. Speaking of programs, you have four of the primary programs right here. They’re called the ‘Healthcare Sessions,’ ‘Massage & Stretch,’ ‘Full Body Stretch,’ ‘Full Body Massage,’ and ‘Lower Body Focus.’ Now, this chair, the specialty of this chair, and the thing that makes it very unique is its stretching and posture correction features, and we will get in to that in another video. The ‘Full Body Stretch,’ ‘Massage & Stretch,’ stretch is a big part of the main programs of this chair. You’ll also see down here that you’ve got ‘Conditioning Sessions,’ a ‘Warm Up’ and a ‘Cool Down Session,’ fascinating idea. We’ve not seen that before in another chair, I like the idea because it can get you a little warmed up before the more aggressive ‘Healthcare Sessions’ begin, and after the ‘Healthcare Sessions’ are done, you can cool down a little bit to kind of relax you before you get off the chair.

Alan: You’ll also notice down here you’ve got ‘Focused Sessions,’ so you’ve got ‘Shoulder,’ ‘Low Body,’ ‘Stretch’ functions that are more localized to a particular area. Down here, you’ve got all your manual settings. You can use the ‘Human Touch’ program, you can use ‘Kneading & Tapping,’ ‘Rolling,’ you can adjust the width, the speed of the rollers, you can turn on and off the heat. This chair has heat in the hands, and in the feet, not on the back. It’s more of a, you know, the massage stones, the hot stones, the hot stone massage, it mimics that. You can also do air massage here, you can turn on the arm airbags, or the seat, and/or the seat’ airbags, and/or the feet airbags when you’re in the manual settings, and this is all gray to isolate the manual settings. Of course, when the automatic programs are on, you can turn off the heat, turn on and off the heat, but you can not adjust any of these other things. Now, another thing that I want to demonstrate here, which is kind of cool about this chair, you have a ‘Max Intensity’ button right there. Now, this chair has 3D rollers, which means the rollers can move forward and back to increase or decrease the intensity of the massage, and you have airbags. When you push the on button, you increase the airbag intensity, and the roller intensity, to the fullest intensity level. Now, you can go down here to the ‘Intensity’ section, and isolate the intensity to either the back rollers, or the airbags, and you can do low, medium, or high. So, let’s say you want low on the back, and you want medium intensity in the airbags, you can do that. Or, if you just want maximum intensity, you can just bang, push that on button, and you’ve got maximum intensity, but that may be too much for some people.

Alan: Some people may not want as intense a roller massage, or more intense arm airbags, or vice versa, and you can do that independently here. That’s a very convenient feature, push it once, and your chair goes to maximum intensity for rollers and airbags. Now, the last thing I want to show you is the ‘Auto-Upright.’ When you push the ‘Auto-Upright’ button, when the program ends, this chair will automatically go to the upright position. Now, the Inada Sogno, the old Inada Sogno didn’t have that. This is a feature that’s kind of cool because it makes it easy to bring the chair upright when the program has ended, and that is the remote control. Oh, one other thing I will show you is, there is, they call it a – they don’t call it a body scan on this chair – they call it the ‘Shiatsu Point Finder,’ or detector. So, it’s detecting shiatsu points of your spine so it knows exactly where to focus the massage. When you first turn on a program, the ‘Detecting’ light will turn on, and it’s a red light, and it’ll turn on, and we should be able to see that in a moment, and when that is done, then the green ‘Complete’ light turns on, and then you know that your scan is over, and the massage program is beginning.

Alan: There you see that the ‘Detecting’ red light is on, now that the chair is reclined, and I’m in an awkward position, but we’ll make it work, and then when that scan is complete, then the ‘Complete’ button, the green, the ‘Complete’ button will turn green. That is – and you see how the green lights, up and down the spine, are going to show you where the rollers are working to do the scan – to do the scan for the shiatsu points. Anyway, that is the remote control of the Inada – oh, and by the way, these manual, and ‘Conditioning Sessions,’ and the intensity are all underneath this flap on the remote control handle – so it’s a lot more simple looking when you’re just, when you’re getting in the chair for the first time, but when you pull this back, you get all these extra options. You’ll see that on the DreamWave as well, it’s common on a lot of chairs to have a hidden section for the manual programs. That is the remote control for the – oh, one last thing, my heavens, I keep forgetting something – leg rest, you can move the leg rest up or down. You’ll see that the leg rest is up, I’m bringing it down now. You can ‘Auto Recline’ or ‘Incline’ the chair back as well. If I push this button, it’ll bring the chair back to an upright position. That’s the last of the features of this remote control, I think I’ve covered everything.

Alan: That’ll give you a really good feel for what this chair can do from the remote control. It’s a very versatile chair, I really like this chair a lot. I sat on it for about two hours a couple weeks ago to do a review, and you can read the review on our blog, but it is a fantastic chair massage. When I was done, between the stretching, and the posture correction, and the full body massage, it is a phenomenal massage, I really, really enjoy this chair. That is the remote control for the Inada Flex 3s massage chair. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 888-259-5380.
