Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we’re talking about the shoulder airbags of the Osaki 6000 massage chair. Now, all massage chairs have airbags, and different areas, whether it’s the calf and feet, thigh and butt, back, arms, legs, or neck, whatnot, and some chairs now have airbags in the shoulders. This is becoming increasingly popular. Now, the Osaki 6000 is no different. Now, what I’m going to do is I’m going to lift this, the head piece out of the way, so you have a clear shot of the airbags, which are in the side here. It’s in the same, it’s being held in place by the same component that has the speakers from the music system. Anyways, what we’ll do is we’ll turn on the massage chair, and rather than go to an automatic program, which will incorporate shoulder massage at some point through the automated process, we’re going to pull this lid down, and go directly to the manual settings. And if we push on the ‘Shoulder’ button here, you will begin to see immediately these airbags inflate.

Alan: Now, what these airbags do is they will inflate against the outside of your shoulder, on the deltoid muscle. And when they inflate, they also retract a little bit, so it’s almost a bit of a, it’s not just compression, it’s also a kind of a, almost a quasi-kneading motion, because it inflates out and then back a little bit. You can kind of see that, when they inflate, it comes out and then in a little bit, and that will work on your deltoid muscle, which is this part of your shoulder, right here on the outside of the shoulder, and it’s fairly intense. If the intensity is too much, you can come back to the remote control here and adjust the intensity. You’ll see here on, again, near the, on the manual settings, there is a button that says ‘Air Intensity’ and it’s got five little dots, from small to large, large being the most intense, small being the least intense.

Alan: And they will manifest here on the actual display, so if I push this button one more time, you’ll see a larger dot comes up, which means it’s more intense, another dot, larger, another larger dot, and it goes back to the smallest. So, you find out where you’re most comfortable with the airbags. If there’s one area where people are uncomfortable on a massage chair, it’s usually an airbag compression feature somewhere, whether it’s on the arms or, in this case, the shoulders. And you can adjust that with these chairs now, and if you are looking for a chair that has airbags, I would strongly recommend that you get a chair that has intensity adjustment of the airbags.

Alan: So that you’re not stuck with a chair where the default intensity is so great, and it causes so much discomfort, whether it’s in your calves or your shoulders or your arms, that you can’t even sit in it. So you want to be able to adjust that intensity, that would, that’s just a little tip for you if you’re out shopping for a chair, which I assume you are or you wouldn’t be looking at this video. Anyways, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com’, visit our website there or you can call us at 801-417-8240, which is our showroom, and feel free to give us a call at any time, or contact me any time with regards to this chair or any other model that we carry.
