OS-3D Pro Dreamer (faux wood accents)Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com’ and today we’re going to demonstrate to you the electronic ottoman extender for the Osaki OS-3D Pro Dreamer. Now, most chairs have the ability to extend the ottoman, not all of them, but most of them do because some people have long legs, some people have short legs, and one size does not fit all when it comes to legs. So, there’s two different ways that these chairs go about offering that extension and retraction feature. One is, just a manual extension and retraction, you can just push with your legs, the ottoman will go out, and then, in an accordion-like fashion, when you retract your legs, the ottoman will pop back up. There’s other chairs, like the Osaki OS-3D Pro Dreamer, that has an electronic leg extension, and you do that through buttons on the remote control, and I’m going to show you how to do that.

Alan: There are two buttons on here – and by the way, I’m in the zero-gravity position on the chair right now, so I’m reclined a little bit – but you’ll see two buttons here. This button shows the arrow pointing down, that is the extension of the ottoman. The retraction of the ottoman, and bringing it back up to neutral, or bringing it back up for shorter legs, is through that button. Now, what we’re going to do is I’m going to extend the ottoman out, and you’ll notice that the ottoman extends in two steps. First of all, the foot part will start to extend, and then the calf part will extend as well, and it extends quite a bit, I think it’s about nine inches. Now, you push the button to extend it, and then to retract the ottoman, and bring it back up to make it fit for a shorter leg like I have, you can stop it one of two ways. One way is to push the button again, to stop it from coming back up, or you can push with your toes on a little sensor that’s at the front of the foot rollers, and you just push with your toes, and that will stop it.

Alan: So, those are the two ways that you can stop it. You can either push the button – either the extension or the retraction button – once to get that motion going, but when it’s retracting, you can stop it, either by pushing the button again, or by pushing with your toes. When you’re extending the ottoman out, it will not stop when you push with your toes, that feature’s only available when it’s coming back in, so that’s your tip. So, anyway, let’s show this, let’s show how this works. So, I’m going to push the button, and I’ve pushed the button, now you see how the foot’s extending, and now you see the calf extending, you see that. Now, let’s say, oh, I’ve gone too far, my feet aren’t touching the bottom of the rollers, help me, so what we can do now is we can retract it. So, what I’m going to do is I’m going to push the ‘Retract’ button, you’ll see the ottoman retract, but rather than push the button again, I’m going to push with my toes – and hopefully you can pick this up on the film – push with my toes to stop it.

Alan: So, here it comes, back up, and now my feet are just starting to touch, my feet are completely flush now, so now I push with my toes, do you see that, I pushed with my toes, and it stopped the retraction of the ottoman, and that’s the electronic leg extension of the Osaki OS-3D Pro Dreamer. Very clever, very easy to use, and very, actually quite sophisticated technology, and of course, there’s another video that talks about the foot rollers themselves you can watch on our channel as well. I hope you found this video helpful, if you did, please feel free to share us on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, you know, Google Plus, whatever.
