Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I’m going to show you how to use the OS-3D Pro Cyber massage chair from Osaki for your first time through. Sometimes when you get a new chair, it can be a little overwhelming because the remote control’s got a bunch of buttons, and the operator’s manual might be a little intimidating. I will show you how to get going on this chair right off the bat, and while you’re sitting in the chair, then you can read your owner’s manual, and then figure some the other stuff out. The first thing you want to do, of course, is sit in the chair. When you sit in the chair, make sure that you’ve got all your – your body parts are in the chair, without folding over any airbags – sometimes the calves or the feet airbags get folded over, sometimes if you’re not careful, you’ll push back on one of these shoulder airbags, like this, and you won’t get the benefit of those airbags. So, make sure your upper body and your lower body are situated in the chair without any airbags folded over.

Alan: Then, what you’ll want to do – the first thing you do is – on the remote control, we are going to push the power button right here, and you’ll see on the remote control, it’s a very, very easy to read remote control. Hey Jared, maybe you could just zoom in on that remote control when I push this button. So, the first thing you want to do is push the power button on. Now, when you turn the power button on, what’ll happen is the chair will default in to an automatic position, ready to do a massage. So, what I like to do, once I’ve pushed the power button on, and it’s already reclined a bit, and the ottoman’s come up a bit, then I like to push the ‘Zero G’ button on the remote control here. The ‘Zero G’ button is down here on the bottom of the right-hand side, and there’s a lot of options of programs, by the way, but if you watch with ‘Zero G,’ now the chair will recline. So, all I’ve done is, I’ve pushed the power button and got a preset position. I like to then push the ‘Zero G’ button to get the chair in to a zero-gravity position, which is the seat tilted up at 30 degrees, and the chair back reclined, and the ottoman up and then, of course, now we’re pretty much ready to go.

Alan: If the ottoman is too short, you can adjust the length of the ottoman with the foot component extending out, or back, there are buttons to do that. We won’t show that today, but there are buttons to extend the ottoman, or bring it back, for someone with really, really long legs, or someone with really short legs. Then, now we’re in this position, now I’m ready to push a program, and I’ll push the top program, the very first program, which is called ‘Energy,’ I’ll push that right here, and now the program begins. I’ve got my hands in the armrests, I’ve got my shoulders back, my feet and calves are in the ottoman, and I feel the rollers going up and down my back. The chair will scan you first, and on the remote control, it says ‘Shoulder Detecting,’ so what that means is that the chair is trying to figure out where your shoulders are relative to your head, while it’s doing the body scan of your spine. Now, if you sit like I am right now and talk when you first turn on the chair, it will think that your shoulders, the top of your shoulders, is the top of your head, because it doesn’t feel the weight of the head back there.

Alan: So, make sure you keep your head back, you might – if you want a full neck massage, you’ll want to remove these pillows, so you can get the benefit of the neck massage – but make sure you have your whole back up against the chair back, of the chair, so that the chair can figure out exactly your body height, and of course, figure out the rest of your spine to cater the massage to. So, that is pretty much it for the first time use on the massage chair. When you’re done, the chair will automatically shut off, and you can adjust the timer up to 30 minutes. When the massage is done, it’ll automatically shut off, and the chair will restore to neutral. If you want to get out of the chair quick, you know, quicker than the time that you’ve got allotted on the timer, just push the power button again, and bang, we push the power button, and now the chair restores back to its neutral, default position, and you can just hop out of the chair. So, that is the first time use, the recommended first time use, for the OS-3D Pro Cyber from Osaki.
