New Iyashi Color!
Infinite Therapeutics announced this week that they are introducing a black interior synthetic color option, adding to their current red and tan options. You can see by the pictures how sharp the new contrasting colors are. This color will be available on December 6th. I might also mention that the tan color is back-ordered until that date, as well. In other words, you can only get the red interior color for the time being. And, as you heard on my interview with IT Vice-President, Jim Coppins, the company is working on getting a black exterior color option as well. But, that probably won’t be for a while.
Osaki is providing a 2 year parts and labor, in-home warranty, along with 2 more years of parts, on their new and increasingly popular OS-3D Pro Dreamer. All of their other chairs come with a 1 year parts and labor, in-home warranty with another year of parts. From what I understand this is a permanent offer and not temporary. So, an added benefit to this very nice chair.
Of course, you can still purchase an additional 1 or 2 years extended warranty, which includes parts and labor, in-home coverage, on top of the already extended factory warranty.
I was pleasantly surprised to have a visit from Ed Cini, national sales rep for Panasonic, this last Tuesday. He flew in from New York to visit the store and talk massage chairs. Ed visited me earlier this year and, as we did at that time, we talked massage chairs all day. I love having Ed visit for that reason. We always end up talking about big-picture stuff in the massage chair industry. He offers some insights to the industry that I often don’t think about.
I look forward to yet another visit from Ed next year some time!
GE Capital 18 Month Option Available Nov. 20!
GE Capital, one of our financing partners, announced that they will be offering a reduced merchant rate on the 18 month 0% interest/minimum payment financing option for a couple of weeks, starting November 20, 2013. We have always just offered 6 and 12 month options because the percentage fees that they charge are more affordable for our business. If we were to offer the 18 month option at any other time, we would have to pay GE Capital 9.6% of the purchase price. That really cuts into some already low profit margins, so we have limited our GE Capital financing options to only 6 or 12 months.
Well, with this 2 week special, GE will only be charging us 5.74% on all sales, so it is more affordable for us. This offer will only last until December 3, 2013, so if you want to take advantage of the 18 months 0% interest/minimum monthly payment option, do it during that period of time, when we will make it available.
By the way, we also offer Paypal’s “Bill Me Later” financing program, which provides 6 months 0% interest/0 payments. That option is available at checkout on our website (alternative selection to the credit card payment option). The GE Capital option requires that you download a form, fill it out, and email or fax it back to us.
New Line of Massage Chairs!
I have spent some time checking out Johnson massage chairs, which are a Taiwanese-made chair imported by Johnson Health Tech, out of Fitchburg, Wisconsin. I was first attracted to them by their 3 year parts and labor, in-home warranty, which rivals the warranties of Inada and Panasonic. This is a big company that is involved with a lot of different products, one of which is massage chairs.
I decided to become a distributor for them. Their chairs are not on our website just yet, but when they are I will announce them to you all. They seem like nice, well-built chairs, with a nice feature-set. We will most likely bring their top of the line model, the J6800, to our showroom for testing, reviewing, and demonstrating. One feature I like about these chairs is that they all have 3D roller technology with a roller displacement of 3.5″!!
Christmas Is Coming…
As I remind my customers every single year…don’t wait until the last minute to buy a massage chair for the holidays, if you can avoid it. Beginning on Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, when sales really pick up, color and model selections will be limited by the day. A lot of folks are wisely ordering now while the selection is great. You might consider doing that yourself! (just an idea)
