Here are some things of interest in the massage chair world…
1. We have the ZeroG 4.0 and the Panasonic MA70 in our showroom now. These are two chairs I’ve wanted to have in the showroom for a long time and now we have made the room and budget for them. Both great chairs. I will write a brief prelim review of both chairs in the weeks to come. Videos will also be coming soon for both models.
2. We added the 6 Cozzia massage chairs to our website. I still don’t have the details but the images and pricing is up. The Cozzia line is another Chinese-made line with a very low price point. It serves a niche in the industry not well served by other lines…most of their chairs are under $2000 making massage chairs very affordable for pretty much anyone. With PayPal’s “Bill Me Later” financing program along with our GE Capital financing, almost anyone can get a massage chair in their home or business.
I don’t have a Cozzia chair in my showroom yet, but hopefully will have one soon to write about and make videos about. I will be meeting with Cozzia VP, Greg Hunsucker, on Wednesday at the Las Vegas Furniture Market. I will be interviewing him about the chairs and the company. I am looking forward to becoming more familiar with this brand and learning more about how they came into existence.
3. I just love massage chair reviews! I always encourage our customers to share their experience with their massage chair on our website so that others can be helped in their own chair search. I want to ask you, whether you bought a chair from me or someone else, to please share your review of that chair on our site. It is so beneficial to others. Even if your experience is not completely positive…that’s OK. We want the good and the bad so that others can make an educated decision about which chair to buy.
Most people don’t get a chance to sit on a chair before they order it, so reviews are among the greatest resources available for the serious massage chair shopper.
So, whether good or bad or both, please share!
4. Here is a recent email inquiry I received. I thought I’d share it, along with my response, with you…
Thanks for the information you sent me about the massage chairs. I have a few questions for you. A friend of mine just purchased the Elite Optima chair. I tried it, but a little disappointed in the product. However, I have not tried any other chairs to know the difference. I’m looking for a chair that has great neck/shoulder massage, as well as calves and foot massage. The Elite Optima gave me some satisfaction, but I wish there’s a chair that would give me a better massage at those areas. For example, the Elite optima has air calves massage, but it does not reach to the upper half of the calves. I’m only 5’7. Is there a chair that has calves and feet components that move independently for different areas of the calves? What is your opinion on the Elite Optima chair vs Inada Sogno or osaki 7075? Thanks.
Thank you for your email.
I’ve never sat on an Elite so I can’t speak from experience of that chair. Can I ask you if you are interested in mechanical foot rollers, in addition to airbag massage of the feet and calves? If so, I would encourage you to take a look at the OS-7075R, which you mentioned in your email to me, and the IT-8500 from Infinite Therapeutics. Both have foot rollers, but I would say that the IT-8500 has a more vigorous calf airbag massage.
The calf massage on the OS-7075R is not that impressive. The foot roller/airbag combination is great and quite intense on that chair, but the calf airbags seemed quite weak to me. I tried it out for another client yesterday who had the very same question about the OS-7075R calf massage. I was a little disappointed in that feature, especially since everything else on that chair is so much more vigorous and intense.
I just got off the IT-8500 chair and have to say that the calf airbag massage feels more intense than that of the OS-7075R. Of course, you won’t know for sure how it works for you until you experience it, but I found it to be more intense and thorough than the OS-7075R.
Here is my opinion on the Sogno and OS-7075R. I get this question all the time.
If you want the best chair with the most refined massage and best quality workmanship, and you are willing to spend whatever, then I would recommend the Inada Sogno. It is our most expensive chair, being Japanese made, but it is, by far, our most popular selling chair…even at this price.
If you are more cost conscious, but still want a good chair, then I would strongly encourage you to look at the Osaki OS-7075R or the IT-8500. They are our next most popular chairs and I’d have to say it is a toss-up as to which one is more popular. They are chinese-made, so the quality is not the same as the Inada Sogno, but they are still very good chairs.
