4 New Massage Chair Models!

There has been a lot of news about the new Luraco i9 massage chair and I have written and video’ed my fair share of that new launch. However, behind the scenes of that newsworthy model launch, 2 other companies have come out with 2 new models of their own.

Human Touch

Human Touch is the company that brought us the very popular Novo family of chairs, most recently the top selling Super Novo. Last week, I visited their Long Beach headquarters to check out the two new models they recently introduced to the marketplace, the Certus and the Quies.

Certus

The Certus has some visual similarities to the Novo chairs, but is made in a completely different factory. There is nothing noticeably different, in terms of it’s feature-set, but it has a very nice massage. When I sat in it, I found that the airbags and rollers worked very well together to deliver a firm yet smooth and comfortable massage.

It is a 3D L-track chair with 11 auto programs, mechanical foot rollers, and plenty of airbags (48).  I was impressed with the stretch program, in large part because of the use of the shoulder airbags in concert with the reclined chair position and the rollers. It also has Altec Lansing speakers, which it’s Novo predecessors first introduced in their models. Arguably the best speakers in the massage chair industry.

Other features include low back and calf heat, zero gravity positioning, and a very unique color selection and nomenclature:

  • Earth = brown
  • Sun = yellow
  • Sky = blue
  • Moon = white
  • Slate = gray
Human Touch Certus - Blue

Human Touch Certus (sky)

The Certus I sat in had the Sky (blue) color and it was quite attractive. That will be the chair color we will have in our showrooms.

The list price is a modest $7999 and it will come with the standard  1 year in-home labor/3 years parts/5 years structure warranty.  It fits folks from 5’0 – 6’9″ in height with a recommended weight limit of 285 lbs.

Quies

The Quies is priced at $4999 and comes with a lesser feature-set, but no less of a quality massage. It has a 2D L-track with 19 airbags, 9 auto programs, low back heat, and zero gravity positioning. It has sound speakers, but not Altec-Lansing. It is also built for taller bodies and a 285 weight user limit.

Their are two colors to pick from, cream and gray. If you have sat on the Human Touch Sana before, and are familiar with the feel of that massage, you will find the Quies to be firm but not quite as intense. It has quite a comfortable massage, though firm.

Synca Wellness

Synca currently has had the Circ, Kagra, and JP1100 in it’s line-up. They are known as high quality chairs with Japanese design. The parent company of Synca Wellness, Johnson Health, owns Fuji Medical in Japan, which is a massage chair manufacturing company. They have recently added two new models, the Circ+ and the Hisho, the latter being designed in the Japan headquarters.

Hisho

Synca Wellness Hisho

Synca Wellness Hisho (brown)

The Hisho is a well-made massage chair with a 2D L-track roller. So well made, in fact, that they include a 3 year parts & labor warranty as standard. 6 auto programs with manual adjustments for speed, air intensity, and roller width. The calf airbags partially cover the knees, lumbar heat, black and brown color options, foot rollers, and zero gravity positioning are all included with this model. Priced at $3499. If you want a high quality chair without all types of bells and whistles, this is a great bang for the buck. The body scan not only measures your head and shoulder height, but it will also scan the shape of your spinal curves.

Circ+

Synca Circ+ (cream)

The original Circ is a very popular chair. It is a smaller “gamer” chair that is perfect for playing video games, but is also a chair that can be used in any setting. We have one in our living room that caters to every size of user…and we don’t have a video game console or computer monitor anywhere to be seen near it. It has a limited feature-set, but the new Circ+ takes the quality and look & feel of the Circ and adds leg & waist heat, a 44″ roller track, deep tissue neck massage (the original Circ did not reach the neck), and a wireless remote control. Speaking of the longer track, the new Circ+ can handle someone as tall as 6’1″ and still hit the neck. We couldn’t say that about the original Circ.  All this while still maintaining the look of the original Circ, which has been a shoppers’ favorite. This new one is priced at $1899.

We will have the Certus in our showrooms shortly and may have the Hisho as well. We’ll keep you posted. If you want to know what models we have on display for testing, in each of our stores, go to the website and mouse over the “Locations” menu item. Go to one of our store pages and you will find, at the bottom of those pages, a list of all the chairs we have on display in that store. Each chair is linked to the respective product page on the site.
