news micAlan: Hi, this is Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today is December 17th, and this is our biweekly massage chair industry update. The 17th is Tuesday, and Christmas is next Wednesday, there are no shipments on chairs on next Tuesday for Christmas Eve, or on Wednesday for Christmas, so Monday is the last shipping day.

Alan: So, today is Tuesday, you’re kind of, you’ve really run out of time, for the most part, for getting something for Christmas. However, depending on where you live, if it’s close to where the warehouses are for the various massage chair companies, you can still get a chair delivered by this weekend, or by Monday, but you’re really pushing it, nothing’s guaranteed. If you do have a chair that you want to order, and you know you’re not going to get it by Christmas, but you want to have something under the Christmas tree, let us know when you order your chair from us, and we will send you a little gift card that you can put under the – well, it’s not a little one, it’s a fairly big one, you can put it under the tree, in an envelope, and at least you’ve got something to put under the tree, but let us know if you want to get the – if you still want to get a chair for Christmas, we can make sure you’ve got something to show for your efforts under the tree on Christmas morning.

Alan: Anyway, it has been a hectic season, and there’s a lot of people that are getting frantic about getting chairs, but the stock is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Really, the ‘Black’ Iyashi is back-ordered until the end of January, the Iyashi’s been a very popular chair. It looks like the Inada Sogno, though low on stock on a couple of colors, is still in stock. Osaki is, they don’t have any of the 7200H in ‘Black,’ ‘Brown,’ or ‘Creme, until mid January, and then, the Pro Dreamer in ‘Brown’ is back-ordered, but it’s only supposed to be back-ordered until this week, so that should be in stock. For the most part – oh, and I believe the 7450 is out of stock with Human Touch – but for the most part, the stock’s been pretty good. I think the massage chair companies prepared themselves well for the onslaught of Christmas shoppers, and were good to go.

Alan: So anyway, if you’re interested in a chair still, of course like I say, there’s still Christmas deadline issues, but you can still get a chair, and the inventory’s good, and you know, you can call our showroom for our Christmas sale, that we have going on, that we can’t advertise here or on the website. Give us a call and we can tell you what kind of special pricing we have at the showroom. OK so, there isn’t really that much to talk about right now, you know, all the new models have come out in months prior to Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I’m sure there will be some new models in the new year, and of course, we’ll keep you apprised of that, there isn’t much more information to impart.

[SCREEN TEXT: Article: OS-3D Pro Dreamer vs. OS-3D Pro Cyber]

Alan: I wrote an article on my blog, it’s a two-part article comparing the Osaki OS-3D Pro Dreamer to the Osaki OS-3D Pro Cyber. They’re somewhat like sister chairs, we have them both in our showroom. Both are fairly popular, both nice chairs, and they both have the 3D feature, which allows the rollers to be adjusted forward and back to increase or decrease the intensity, respectively. So, I wrote a two-part article on that, so feel free to take a look at that. We will also be working on some new projects in the new year with regard to Massage-Chair-Relief, that I’m very excited about, and I’ll keep you apprised of that, things that will affect both prospective customers and current customers, but we’re quite excited, and 2014 is going to be a fun year for us.

[SCREEN TEXT: Make-A-Wish Update!]

Alan: Also, with regard to our Make-A-Wish Foundation, I believe we are up to about $2200, so over 25% of our goal of $7500 for a year, has been met, and we just started November 1st. Of course, this is the busiest time of the year for us, but I’m very, very pleased with the donations we’ve been able to make, and so we’re well on our way. We’re almost a third of the way – actually, I believe 25 – yeah, we’re almost a third of the way through to our goal of $7500 for the first year. Samantha who is our wish child, is still our wish child, and when we have reached the goal to help her with her, to help grant her wish, we will move on, and have another child that we will focus on for the time hereafter. So, I’m excited about the Make-A-Wish Foundation, thank you for those of you who have donated, even those who haven’t purchased a chair from me, but who have gone on to the website and donated, we appreciate that very, very much, and we’re excited about reaching our goal. I think that is just about it for massage chairs, Massage-Chair-Relief industry update this week, not very busy, just getting ready for Christmas, I hope you all have a happy holiday. I’m very, very thankful for this year, and for the good people who have patronized our business, and have trusted us with their business, that’s very, very meaningful to me, and I honor that trust.
