Research shows that exercise and better fitness level may reduce health problems associated with high-stress jobs. BMI, blood pressure and cholesterol measures of men and women with low, medium and high levels of fitness were compared. Study results showed fitter workers in high-stress work environments scored higher on health measures than workers having lower fitness quality and were less affected by work-related stress.
