TP-Pro AlpineAlan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we’re going to talk about the hip airbags of the Titan TP-Pro Alpine massage chair. Now, the hip airbags, as with most massage chairs, are situated on the lateral aspect of the thighs, on both sides, and they serve different purposes. In some chairs, they actually serve to massage the iliotibial bands on the outsides of the thighs. But the rest, serve more as placeholders, to kind of hold your hips in place while the rollers go up and down your back, and in this case, underneath your butt, to massage, and so they’re used more to kind of just pin you in. And so, what I’m going to demonstrate here are the hip airbags of the Alpine, and you’ll notice here they’re magnetized on to the sides of the armrests.

Alan: You can kind of see they snap in to place, but when they inflate, and I’ll turn the inflation on now, you’ll notice now as they inflate, they will – the magnets will break away from the armrests, and you can see them inflating toward my – on to my hips. Now, they’re not massaging my hips per se, but they’re compressing in and out, and inflating, and gaining pressure, to hold my hips in place, and I’m not feeling any massage on the iliotibial bands, I’m just feeling the inflation, to hold my hips in place. Now, I’ve just got these turned on independent of the rollers, but in a program that uses the rollers, when you have the rollers on, these hip airbags will turn on to kind of hold the hips in place, so when the rollers come down, it doesn’t lift you up and out of the chair too terribly much. They’ll hold you in, so you can get a deeper, more intense, more focused massage on the glutes, and on the low back.

Alan: So, these hip airbags are not only found on L-track chairs, or extended roller track chairs, like the Titan, they’re found on most massage chairs, including traditional massage chairs, again, to hold the hips in place, to maybe do a little compression massage, but it’s mostly just for holding the hips in place. So, those are the hip airbags of the Titan TP-Pro Alpine massage chair. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 888-259-5380.
