The Pain Rehabilitation Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is treating approximately 300 patients per year with an astonishing 80% enrollment to completion rate. Interestingly, former opioid users who complete the program report being able to stay off opioid medication upon review 6 months after rehabilitation, citing alternative strategies learned at the center in addressing their emotional, physical, and psychological sources of pain. Often by learning to recognize and control their own stress levels, even chronic pain can be partially eased through diminished muscle tension and a more relaxed mind.
