Green thumbs and lower back pain

Gardeners are often familiar with back pain experienced while gardening. Some things can be done to help avoid back pain while working outside. By lifting with legs and core rather than with just the back will help with pain. Keep the load close to your body and if possible have some help moving heavier objects. When starting gardening, start by working in small increments and build up. Also, remember to stretch and take a few breaks.
