Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I’m going to demonstrate to you how to use the Osaki OS-4000T your first time through, so that you can just get started on it, and then have time to read the owner’s manual while you’re sitting and enjoying a massage, but it’s very easy to get started in this chair. The first thing that I’m going to mention to you is that it has this headpiece that you can lay your head in to, or you can lift it, with its attached pads, out of the way so that you can get the full massage on the neck, as well. But for purposes of comfort, and being able to keep my head upright a little bit while I’m talking to you, I’m going to leave the pillows on. You take your shoes off, of course, slide your feet in to the ottoman, and get yourself positioned, you can lift up the headpiece so that it’s comfortable, as far as the way it fits on your shoulders.

Alan: And then, the first thing that you want to do when you get started is, go to the remote control, and push the big red power button. So, on the chair turns, and once the chair is done, it immediately reclines to a default position, but I like to go to the zero-gravity position, and this is what we do with our customers when they first come to the showroom to sit on this chair. Push the zero-gravity button, now you’ll see the chair is going to recline, to a traditional zero-gravity position, which is a 30-degree tilt of the seat, and a 120-degree articulation angle between the seat, and the chair back. So, it’s going back in to zero gravity, and then once the zero-gravity position has been attained, then we’ve got a number of automatic programs here. I’m just going to go to the very first one – oh, by the way, the ottoman’s extending right now – see how the ottoman is extending out? It’s an automatic, electronic extension. Now it goes out, and now it’s going to come back, and it’s basically measuring me. OK, and once you’ve got the ottoman length right, your chair is ready to go, and the body scan begins, where the chair rollers will measure your height to figure out where your head is, and your shoulders are, so that it gives you the right massage for your body height. The scan technology is not too sophisticated on a lot of these Chinese chairs, it’s basically just figuring out how tall you are, and making sure that the rollers don’t go up too high, and beat the crap out of the back of your head. So, here we are, the chair is now functioning, the hip airbags are going, the foot rollers are on, everything’s working, that’s all you need it to do. So, to get it started, again, turn on the chair, put it in to a zero-gravity position, power, zero gravity, and select one of these programs, and I selected ‘Muscle Relief,’ so now we’re good to go. Now, when you’re done, or if – well, of course, let’s say you want to stop before the program is finished – when the program finishes, automatically, the chair will just restore to neutral. And if you want it to go back to neutral, or if you want to stop your program before the program timer’s done, push that power button again, it shuts it off, and now the chair restores back to a neutral position. So, that is how I recommend using the OS-4000, the Osaki OS-4000T, your first time through.
