The next time you feel overwhelmed with stress, you might want to consider grabbing a pad of paper and a pencil or pen, and drawing for an hour.

A new study recently published by the art journal found that spending even 45 minutes on artistic activity, such as drawing, painting, molding clay or even filling in an adult coloring book can reduce the amount of the stress hormone cortisol in your bloodstream.
