For of millions people across the country, staring down at a mobile electronic device every day for hours on end isn’t just a fun distraction, it’s a requirement of the modern business world. But as this ASAP Science video explains, holding your head at an angle so that you can look at the screen on a cell phone, computer monitor or tablet puts the same amount of pressure on your neck as having an 58 pound weight around your neck.

Obviously, that amount of strain can leave your back and neck feeling seriously out of joint. Thankfully the discomfort and limited range of motion that comes with spending a significant portion of your day using a mobile electronic device can be relieved adjusting the angle at which you look at your computer, tablet and smart phone and making back and neck massages a part of your weekly schedule.
