AP-Pro UltraAlan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today I’m going to use the Apex Ultra, but this would apply to any chair where you feel the need to decrease the intensity of the rollers, because even at its lowest setting, if it’s a chair that has 3D rollers, or if it’s chair that does not have 3D rollers, and it’s one fixed setting of the roller depth, if it’s too intense, you’ve got to be able to decrease that intensity. Now, I hope that made sense, what I just said. Some people are so tender, or so sensitive, that a chair, the roller system on a chair digs so deeply that it’s just uncomfortable. I’m using the Apex Ultra because the Apex Ultra is a very intense chair. It does not have 3D rollers, so what you see is what you get, as far as intensity goes. So, what do you do when you’ve got a chair that you actually love, but it’s too much, like it’s digging in to your back too much?

Alan: Or maybe you’ve got a bad back one day, and you can’t handle too much pressure, what do you do, how do you decrease the intensity? Well, I suppose you could take a big pillow and put it there, but we find that decreases the intensity too much. So, one thing that we recommend using – and we have a couple of them in our showroom, and I’m using a big, ugly red one – but we recommend using a throw blanket. So, you take a throw blanket, and you can fold it up how ever you want to fold it up, and you can drape this thing over the top of the chair, so it acts as a pad. And if your chair has a neck pad, which it should have, the Apex Ultra actually has it, you can use that on your neck.

Alan: But if it’s in your middle or lower back, you’re going to want – let me fold this thing a little bit better – you’re going to want a throw blanket that you can throw over the back of the chair, and use it as a back pad. That is the simplest remedy for – and you can tell I’m not a very good folder either – so we have an ugly throw blanket, and I’m a terrible folder, so it looks like a mess, but I think you get the idea. The idea is: use a throw blanket. You don’t need to use a big quilt, or a big comforter, just get a nice, simple throw blanket, and some people like to use them because it also acts as a decorative piece, because as you can tell, massage chairs are not the prettiest things on the planet, and they do have a tendency to kind of mess up the decorum of a room, because they just don’t look like a beautiful piece of furniture. So, maybe using a throw blanket that matches your decorum, or that kind of hides, maybe, the massage chair a little bit, that’s a great idea for decorating. But for therapy, it’s a great way to decrease the intensity of the rollers, so that when you sit in the bloody thing, you’re not in pain the whole time. So, that’s the use of a throw blanket on a massage chair. I hope you found that video helpful.
