Panasonic MA73Alan: Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from ‘Massage-Chair-Relief.com‘ and today we’re going to talk about the new airbag system in the arm massage of the Panasonic MA73. Most massage chairs have airbag bladders that inflate on the forearm, the hand, and the wrist, and those are usually just one or two big airbags that kind of inflate, some of them sequentially. What Panasonic has done with the MA73, which is an upgrade from the older MA70, is they’ve added specific, unique cells to the arm, and hand, and wrist massage, which have created a fantastic massage for the arm and hand, one of the best that we’ve seen. So, let me demonstrate it to you, so you know what I’m talking about. We’ll have you zero in. It’s kind of see this, with the way that the arm airbags are made, because it’s hidden underneath the armrest, and this is how it works, but we’re going to shine a light on here so you can see. I’ll try to highlight with my fingers.

Alan: It’s got a three segmented little plastic, or rubber, air cell there, and then there’s another one on this side, and then more over here on this side, for the hands and wrists. So, these airbags, these circular airbags, with these little knobules, pushing in to your arms, and your wrists, and hands are on both sides, so it’s a broader contact, and there’s no – it’s not the same up here, it’s all here, but it pushes – the airbags push up in to the bottom of the armrest, and that’s how it works. So what I’ll do now, is I’m going to sit in here, and show you how it works, compressing on my arm. It’s very easy to – hopefully you can see this compressing – I put my arm in like that, I will turn on the chair, we will turn on the hand-and-arm airbags, and you can watch it inflate right now. It inflates up, you can see it’s inflating up on to my arm, it’s going up and down a little bit. I can feel the hand is moving independently of the forearm, and with the broad contact of both of those pads, and the little cells inside, you really feel individual massaging happening to various fingers, to the different parts of the wrist, and then the forearm.

Alan: So, it’s not just one big bladder inflating, it’s isolated, specific air cells on either side, and distally and proximally to the elbow, you can feel all these little air cells massaging the arms and hands. It’s a fantastic massage, it’s something that, again, is unique to the Panasonic MA73. In a previous video, we talked about the trap massage from the MA73, also a very unique feature. These are some of the little things that can make a chair experience fantastic, and on the MA73, the hand, and wrist, and forearm airbag massage is fantastic. So, I hope you found this video helpful.
