Back Pain Begins with Poor Posture

Posture, good or bad, is a result of your lifestyle, essentially your habits, patterns, positions and the things you do every day will culminate in the formation of your posture.

The human body is very good at adapting ot the environment we place it in. In today’s society most people will spend most of their lives sitting, through school and jobs and even free time. The continual sitting position will cause the body to adapt physical changes that in turn will result in dysfunction of the posture. If ignored, these problems can eventually lead to further structural damage which can cause pain.

Generally, the adage “the bones go where the muscles take them” is a good principle to remember.

Analyzing your posture can help you to determine where the problems in your posture are being caused; which muscles are too tight, which are too strained, etc. After analyzing the weaknesses, you can develop a plan to help correct the issues. By incorporation of stretching, exercising and physical therapy you can have a well-balanced program to correct posture deficiencies.

Massage chairs can help in a posture readjustment by helping to loosen muscles and help to strengthen weakened ones, thus helping to rebalance the overall integrity of the back, neck and shoulder muscles.
