Our Massage Chair Relief 110% Low Price Match

Friday, August 27th, 2010

We get a lot of questions about our 110% low price match massage chair policy so I figured I’d take this blog post to explain it to you. If you find a competitor carrying one of the same chairs that we carry, for a lesser price, we will not only match the price of the competitor, but beat it by 10% of the difference between their price and ours. Now this is where some folks get confused. We do not take off 10% of the price of the competitors chair. We take the price of the competitors chair and subtract that amount from our price. We then take 10% of that difference and subtract that from the price of the competitor’s chair. That is the price for you.

For example, let’s say we have a chair priced at $4999. Now, let’s say you find another site on the internet that sells the exact same massage chair for $4299. The difference in price is $700. 10% of that amount is $70. We would then take that amount off the price of the competitor’s chair, which would bring the $4299 chair down to $4229. Does that make sense? I hope so. If it doesn’t give us a call and we can explain it over the phone.

There are a few rules with our 110% low price match:

1. The online store must have the identical massage chair priced accurately at the time you submit your request.
2. Our Low Price Guarantee does not apply to out-of-stock, previously owned/used, special order, or e-Bay items.
3. All price matches must be submitted prior to ordering.
4. Our Low Price Guarantee takes into account the cost of the competitor’s chair AND their shipping & handling costs AND any applicable sales tax that may apply. What this means is that if you are looking at getting a chair from a local store in your state, obviously you are going to have to pay sales tax. When we consider the total price of the competitor chair, we take into account that sales tax amount and subtract the total competitor price (including the sales tax, of course) from our price and take 10% off from that difference. The same applies to shipping or handling costs that a store may charge for the chair (online or offline store).
5. No close-outs, misprints, special buys, special promotions, or liquidations.
6. Applicable to continental US shipments in US Dollars only.
7. Visa Gift Cards do not qualify for 110% low price match purchases. In other words, once a final price is figured out, the Visa Gift Card offer will not apply to the price-matched chair.
8. Price matches are good for a 1 week period. If you return to purchase your new massage chair from Massage-Chair-Relief.com beyond 1 week from the time we did the initial price match, pricing of our competitor will have to be confirmed again and a new price match offered.

Well, I hope that makes sense. It is a wonderful program and we use it all the time. Call us if you have a price that you want us to beat or if you just have more questions about our 110% low price match. Our number is 888-259-5380. Or you can call our showroom at 801-651-2026.

More Pics of the new dark brown Inada Sogno massage chair

I received some more images from Inada of the new dark brown Inada Sogno massage chair model. Here you go…

New Inada Sogno Massage Chair Color

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

We just received notice of a new color for the Inada Sogno massage chair model. Dark brown has been added to the repertoire of colors for this popular massage chair. The inventory is apparently quite light for this color, but it is in stock and

Inada Sogno - new dark brown color

I should have the option up on our website within 24 hours. It is a more “traditional” brown, without the reddish tinge that the current chocolate brown color has.

More Info on the Acutouch 9500 Massage Chair by Human Touch

Monday, August 9th, 2010

I saw a short review video from zedomax.com this week on the Acutouch 9500 massage chair by Human Touch. I have talked about this new model from Human Touch a few times on this blog. So far we know that:

1.) it’s MSRP will be $5999
2.) the 9500 will be an upgraded model of the popular HT-1650 massage chair by Human Touch, which has since been discontinued preparatory to the release of the Acutouch 9500.
3.) the 9500 will be released some time in the fall of 2010, perhaps as early as September.
4.) the chair look is like the HT-1650, but with a different stitching on the leather upholstery.
5.) the ottoman is supposed to lift off the floor, unlike the HT-1650, which sits on the floor in full position.

Well, I have included the video from zedomax.com for your perusal. It goes over the iPad/iTouch/iPhone interactivity with the chair, called HT-Connectivity. It has standard programs, but has also added programs designed specifically by certain professionals who have had input on the programs available through the HT-connectivity feature. I really like the feature where the user can pick three areas of focus and emphasis and the chair will work on those three areas, specifically.

Here is another video, this one created by Human Touch, which shows how to use the iPhone to control the massage:

Very cool! I will like this chair. We, at Massage Chair Relief, already loved the HT-1650 so we can’t wait for the Acutouch 9500 to hit the market.

Hhhhmmm, I wonder what percent of the population have iPhones/iTouch/iPads?

Insurance Paying for Massage Chair?

Monday, July 26th, 2010

If there is one question we get more than any other in this business, it’s whether insurance will cover the cost of a massage chair purchase. I have no certain answer for you. As a matter of fact, in the 7 years I have been selling massage chairs, I have only heard of two where a third party paid for the chair and both instances had to do with disability/handicap situations where the chair was paid for by certain governmental departments that were paying for rehab of some sort.

If anyone out there has had their health insurance pay for a massage chair, please let us know about it. Feel free to call me at our showroom at 801-417-8240 and share your experience with me. We’d love to share your success with other clients who ask about the possibility of having their health insurance cover all or some of the massage chair purchase.

Perhaps there is some code that the insurance companies accept for massage chair sales; perhaps you have purchased the chair and then submitted the bill to your insurance company and received reimbursement for your expense; perhaps a doctor prescribed a massage chair to you and the insurance company then paid for the chair for you.

Whatever your story, we’d like to hear about it for the sake of all our readers.

Thanks for your input.

Utah Jazz Mascot Visits Massage Chair Relief!!

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Steffanie and I are just minding our own business doing work at the Massage Chair Relief showroom when we hear the doorbell go off, notifying us that someone is in our showroom. Before we could even get up and see who it was, Bear, the Utah Jazz mascot runs in through our back office door and surprises the dickens out of us. Naturally, we were excited. But, as soon as we realized who was in our showroom, we immediately asked if we could take some pictures of him in our massage chairs. He didn’t say anything (duh, no mascot says anything!), so we escorted him to our chairs and took these photos:

It was a lot of fun when Bear was here. After he got up from the massage chairs, I could tell he wanted to ask questions and talk, but he was true to his no-talk mandate. I’m sure he’ll be back as a civilian someday to ask those questions he couldn’t ask yesterday.

Go Jazz!

New Inada Sogno Massage Chair Video

Friday, July 16th, 2010

I just realized that it’s been a couple of weeks since my last blog entry. You are probably chomping at the bit for more massage chair info, aren’t you! :) Well, nothing too terribly exciting to report. We are still waiting on the new Acutouch 9500 massage chair by Human Touch; Inada will be introducing a new color for the Sogno in a few weeks; we will finally be getting one of the new Omega zero gravity massage chairs in our showroom, now that we have sold the Montage floor model.

I also have another video to share with you of the Inada Sogno massage chair. We get asked all the time if we will make videos of other chairs. YES, we will. I am just too dang busy or lazy to get them done. But, we will be doing them later this summer on other models.

This video introduces the headpiece function of the Inada Sogno, which is very unique. It is the only chair that has a headpiece like this. Check it out…

Omega M-2 Orion Massage Chair Redesign

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

I received a notice from Omega Massage Chairs, whose products we sell on our website and in our showroom, describing to us the design changes to the popular and very affordable M-2 massage chair. Here is what is up with the new design:

Omega M-2 Massage Chair

1. Flat style leg rest with 4 calf and foot rollers. No more calf wells….massage is within the ottoman, but not through the traditional calf wells.
2. Redesigned back pain for added comfort and style.
3. Arched cervical pillow for improved head support.

Great chair for the money. Omega came out with the new Skyline and Serenity zero gravity massage chairs, which also employ the same flat style calf and foot leg rest/ottoman. I don’t know how effective this massage will be compared to the calf well ottoman. I suspect that it will be much less intense, but I have heard through the grapevine that this flat style actually does a fairly vigorous job massaging the calves.

The price remains the same, by the way ($1299).

King Kong Massage Chairs No More!

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

I got a call from a fellow who is reselling the remaining stock of King Kong massage chairs. I knew that King Kong had lost a law suit last year to Human Touch and I wondered at the time if it would affect their business model.

http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/blog/general/human-touch-awarded-455-million-in-massage-chair-lawsuit/

In that post I close by saying, “Who knows what will happen now. I have heard rumors that American Lighting Industry Inc may sell off or shut down the King Kong massage chair division…Don’t know, but time will tell…”

Well, I don’t know if that was the cause of it, but King Kong chairs are no longer being manufactured and sold. Only existing stock is available. How that affects warranty and customer service, I have no idea. But, I figured you’d want to know about this if you are considering a King Kong massage chair purchase.
