New Massage Chair From Sanyo!

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

I told you about the new Omega line of zero gravity massage chairs a couple of weeks ago. Well, I just learned that Sanyo has a new line of chairs which also combine the zero gravity (or “best” position as it is beingNew Sanyo 3700 massage chair called by Sanyo) and massage chair features. I will tell you a little about the new Sanyo 3700 relaxation massage chair lounger in a moment, but first I want to talk a little about the evolution of these zero/anti gravity massage chairs.

I think this is how it all began:

Human Touch came out with a beautiful, non-massage chair known as the Perfect Chair. It reclined the user, while also tilting the seat up at a 30-40 degree angle so that your body would be positioned without strain or compression on the low back. It was a spin on the old inversion machines and, more recently, the spinal decompression phenomenon that we see advertised everywhere nowadays. Well, Human Touch saw how popular the Perfect Chair was and took that technology and integrated it with the massage chair features in the HT-7450.  Human Touch touted it as the “First Anti-Gravity Massage Chair”. The chair even won an award for the concept.

Sanyo then came out, around the same time, with their own version of an anti-gravity massage chair, but called it “zero-gravity” (they all have to sound so different don’t they?). The Sanyo 7700 massage chair became, and still is, a very popular massage chair (by the way, we will have the Sanyo 7700 up on our website in the next few days and we will have one in our showroom in another week or so). The even created a slightly less-expensive version of the 7700 called the 6700 which is also a zero gravity chair but with only one zero gravity position, as opposed to two positions that the 7700 has.

Well, to tell you the truth, I think that the popularity of the zero/anti-gravity feature has motivated Omega to come out with their Serenity and Skyline zero gravity massage chairs, as I explained on this blog previously

http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/blog/chair-models/more-pics-info-of-new-omega-chairsand-our-first-client-in-bermuda/

I also think that Sanyo decided to expand their zero gravity line with the new Sanyo 3700, which we will be carrying within a few weeks, and the Relaxation Chair that is exclusively at Relax the Back stores.  I suspect that other manufacturers will come out with their versions of this phenomenon in the next year or so. Is it a fad or is it really a therapeutic wonder? I figure it will have some staying power as the zero/anti gravity feature does seem to help low back pain sufferers to some degree (though I do not believe it is “the” answer for low back pain massage chair shoppers).

On my next blog post, I will go into details about the new Sanyo HEC-A3700 “best position” massage chair lounger and the difference between this model and the Sanyo Relaxation Chair (Relax the Back exclusive).

Free 5 Year Warranty For Inada Sogno and i2A Massage Chairs

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Massage Chair Relief just added a little something special for our readers interested in the Inada Sogno Dreamwave Plus massage chair and the Inada i2A massage chair…a free 5 year extended warranty. So, now for every purchase of the crazy-popular Sogno Plus massage chair and the near-zero failure rate i2A massage chair, you will get the extra peace of mind that comes with a full head-to-toe warranty.

Currently, both chairs have a standard 1/3/5 year warranty for comprehensive, parts, and structure, respectively. But, the new 5 year extended warranty covers everything from top to bottom should ANYTHING go wrong with this chair for a full 5 years. Not bad, eh.  The price of the chairs remains the same, but Massage Chair Relief will foot the bill for the extended warranty. Remember you also get free shipping for both chairs (and free white glove delivery and setup for the Sogno chair).

Sanyo 5000 Massage Chair Discontinued!! (I’ve Got A Floor Model For You)

Friday, July 24th, 2009

I spoke to the marketing rep for Sanyo massage chairs yesterday and got the scoop that the Sanyo 5000 has been discontinued. It kinda surprised me since it is a popular selling chair. Apparently, they are discontinuing it and introducing a new model later this year which, when I hear more about it, I will share with you. We also received permission yesterday to finally add the Sanyo 7700 zero gravity massage chair to our website. Sanyo does not want any price slashing on their zero gravity chairs and are working hard at maintaining online pricing integrity for their models (maybe that’s why they are discontinuing the 5000 model, eh?…hhhmmm…I wonder). Anyway, now that we are considered a trusted partner by Sanyo they gave us permission to add the 7700 to our website. I sent off the request to my web designer this morning and hope to have it up ASAP.

I am very excited about this as we have sold many of this massage chair model even though it has not been on our website. We have also sold many of it’s sister chair, the 6700 massage chair, which is also zero-gravity, but about $500 less. I have discussed the differences between the two models in a previous blog post:

http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/blog/chair-models/the-sanyo-6700-replacing-the-sanyo-7700-massage-chair/

Both are fantastic chairs that boast the zero gravity feature…which is fantastic for you low-back pain sufferers out there.

Well, since the Sanyo 5000 massage chair has been discontinued, I have a floor model for sale. It is about 1 1/2 years old and is in good condition. It has had some wear and tear but works great. I am selling this chair for only…are you ready for this…$1499. It’s regular retail is $3999. You can call us at our showroom at 801-417-8240 or visit our website to order it (http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/closeout.html). But, since there is just the one 5000 massage chair, once it is gone…it is gone.

Have a super weekend and thanks for visiting us today.

Yesterday I told you a little bit about the new zero gravity massage chairs from Omega Massage. I put up pictures of the Skyline on that post, but have since received more images of the Serenity model. Pretty cool look. Below are those pics of that zero gravity massage chair. Here are some features of both the Skyline and Serenity models, as told to me by Jimi at Omega Massage:

How do you like them? I think I like this model moreso than the Skyline model. I like the different base and the round sides. What do you think?

Hey, we sold our first massage chair to Bermuda yesterday!! A delightful client named Leah purchased the Sanyo 6700 massage chair from our website and this is our first Bermuda sale. I sure wish I was delivering it myself! Way to go, Leah. You’re going to love your new massage chair.

Make sure you check out the chairs in our Discontinued, Closeouts, and Floor Models page:

New Massage Chairs Coming From Omega Massage

Monday, July 13th, 2009

I just got off the phone today with Jimi and Peter at Omega Massage. We called to find out if the chair back problem that we had experienced with the Omega Montage Elite massage chair is still a problem or if it had been remedied. We had had a few models in our showroom but had decided to not carry them in our showroom because they had recurrent chair back problems, where the chair back wouldn’t come back up once it was fully reclined. Well, they told me that it has been rectified and a new motor has been put in these chairs to make sure that didn’t happen anymore. So, I am glad to hear that.

While on the phone, Jimi told me about the new Skyline and Serenity zero gravity massage chairs that they are coming out with later this year (probably September or later). These are very contemporary-looking massage chairs that go into a zero gravity position, much like the Perfect Chair by Human Touch. But, these ones have massage mechanisms in them, unlike the Perfect Chair. Jimi told me that it has a roller mechanism in the lumbar region but uses more air bags for the other parts for the massage effect. He sent me over a few pics of the new Skyline model and he gave me permission to share them with you. So, here they are:

What do you think? Kinda modern looking, but kinda cool looking too. I love the wood accents and the silver legs. We will give you the feature-set for these chairs when I get them from Omega Massage.

Have a super day!

New Discounted Massage Chair Section At Massage Chair Relief!

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

As we grow as a company, and as we sell more and more massage chairs, we introduce more and more models into our showroom and we get a few more returns and exchanges.  We have also found that with all the massage chair manufacturer’s that we represent, we see many different models become discontinued. The bottom line is that we have used, discontinued, floor, returned, and exchanged massage chair models for sale from time to time. I usually will notify my clients through an email or on this blog, but now we have added a page to our website that will display exactly what models we have available at very deeply discounted prices.

Here is the link:

http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/closeout.html

My web guy just set up the page and he hasn’t yet taught me how to add products, but we do have some wonderful floor models for sale and very, very good prices. Once he teaches me, I’ll get them up over the next couple of days. Stay tuned and check back periodically if there isn’t something that suits your fancy just yet…things change all the time in this biz and chairs come available all the time.

P.S. Rumor has it that Inada may come out with a new massage chair later this year or next year. Don’t know much yet, but will keep you posted as I learn about it.
