Inada Sogno Massage Chair Special Orders!

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

I had a phone call a couple of weeks ago about getting the Inada Sogno massage chair in a green color. This customer had Inada Sogno Massage Chairseen a green one in his mother-in-laws home that she had purchased in Taiwan and wanted to know if we could get him the same color. I called the distributor and they said “Sure”, but with a couple of caveats:

1. $1000 extra to make a special order (you see, green is not a standard color in either of the Sogno models), and

2. the buyer has to pay for shipping from Inada in Japan to USA.

So, after learning that the customer decided to get a regular “stock” color.  But, this is good information for those of you that may be pondering a special order. I’m sure it will make some of you think twice!

Also, I just wrote an article about the Inada Sogno massage chair and posted it on the web. Here is a link to the article:

Inada Sogno Massage Chair Article

I rather like this article, if I don’t mind saying so myself! I hope you enjoy it, too. If you are interested in more information on this amazing chair or if you would like to purchase one, feel free to call us at our showroom, 1-801-417-8240, or call us toll-free on our website at 1-888-259-5380. Steffanie or I will gladly take care of you.

Did you know that the Sogno massage chair comes in two boxes?  White Glove Service (WGS) is a must-have when ordering these chairs. We include the WGS whenever a Sogno is ordered through our website. Steffanie and I actually put together our Sogno Dream Wave PLUS on our own when we received it and it did take us quite a bit of time to assemble it. It is not that it is terribly hard, but it is just time-consuming. It definitely is better to take advantage of the WGS when ordering this chair.

New Panasonic Massage Chair Model Coming Out In September!

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

I just learned yesterday that Panasonic has a new massage chair coming out and it is supposed to be a beauty. It will be part of the 30000 series and will probably be labeled the Panasonic 30007 Massage Lounger. It will be manufactured in Japan, which is a departure from the other members of the 30000 family, which are currently manufactured in China.

I am also told that the price tag on this model will be quite high. I know nothing of the features, look, or functions, but I do know that it will be a step up from the Panasonic 30006 massage chair, which is the high end model heretofore only found at The Sharper Image specialty stores.

By the way, for those of you who have been following my blog entires on the 30006, I can tell you that the Panasonic 30006 shipment that I spoke of, where the price was dropped down from $4999 to $3699, has only 3 black ones left. So, if you are thinking of getting that massage chair and have been sitting on the fence about whether to buy it or not…get off the fence and take action before this amazingly low price is gone. Only 3 left. And, remember, we don’t have this model on our website, so if you want it you have to call our toll-free number, 1-888-259-5380, to place the order.

I will keep you posted about the Panasonic 30007 when I get more info on it. Before I forget, I was also told that the Panasonic 3222 massage chair model has  been discontinued. There are a few in stock, but no new chairs are going to be available once the current stock is gone. The 3222 has been around a long time and was the Panasonic massage chair of choice before the 30000 series came along. We will be removing it from my site within a week or so.

HT-7120 Massage Chair Dark Chocolate Color Discontinued!

Monday, August 18th, 2008

I received notice on Friday that the Dark Chocolate color in the HT-7120 massage chair by Human Touch has been discontinued. The company is filling back orders, but once they are filled, the Dark Chocolate will be replaced by “Espresso”, an even darker chocolate color which, according to Human Touch, looks like “semi-sweet chocolate”…a rich dark brown. I have put up an image of the HT-5005, a new chair that we carry from Human Touch, which is upholstered in the same espresso color. This will at least give you an idea of the color. It “kinda” looks like black I suppose, but it is a very dark, rich brown color.HT-5005 massage chair - espresso color

So, although we still have the dark chocolate on the website, the color will be changed to espresso as soon as that chair color is available, and I am told that it will be around in late August or early September. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us about it.

Sorry about the loss of the dark chocolate. My experience of it is that it was a very popular color, relative to the black, but it is a corporate decision and that is how it is!

By the way, we should have the new chairs I spoke about on my last blog entry up within a week or so.

New Massage Chairs on the Way!

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to mention that I am quite excited about a whole bunch of new massage chairs that we are going to be carrying. Here is a list of them with their accompanying prices and links to Human Touch’s website to learn about the chairs before we get them up on our website:

1. iJoy 130 - $749
http://www.humantouch.com/ijoy130.html

2. iJoy 300 - $999
http://www.humantouch.com/ijoy300.html

3. HT-2720 (iJoy family) - $999
http://www.humantouch.com/ht2720.html

4. HT-5270 - $2499
http://www.humantouch.com/ht-5270.html

5. HT-5320 - $2999
http://www.humantouch.com/ht-5270.html

6. HT-5005 - $1999
http://www.humantouch.com/ht-5320.html

7. HT-103 - $1499
http://www.humantouch.com/ht-103.html

For those of you who didn’t know, the iJoy brand, which is a very popular and inexpensive brand of massage chair, is also manufactured by Human Touch. Very affordable chairs, but not with the features that the HT family of chairs has. Even the HT-103 has more to offer than the iJoy brand. But, of course, the iJoys fit a perfect demographic…typically younger folks with a little less income.

Human Touch is a very innovative, progressive massage chair company and is constantly working on new designs and technologies. That is why we have new models like the HT-5270, HT-5320, and HT-5005. The HT-5005 is the second massage chair that Human Touch has put out that looks like a recliner and not a massage chair. the HT-5270 is also “kinda” like that too…in that it is a massage chair that is not blatantly a massage chair as far as the looks go.

The HT-5320 is a heavy chair and looks great, while trying to implement the same kind of ottoman as the HT-1650 massage chair in a less expensive, more contemporary massage chair. It also has an air “loop” that can go around the thighs or arms on both sides to massage those body parts as well. Very interesting addition…something I have never seen on another chair.

Of the chairs we are adding, so far we only have the iJoy 130 in our showroom. But all the chairs will be up on our website within the next week or so. I’ll notify you all when they are up and running.

Have a great weekend!

Another Massage Chair Question From A Site Visitor…

Monday, August 11th, 2008

I have decided that as I receive massage chair questions from visitors to our site, and if the question is one that I feel would benefit my readership and visitorship, I will post the question and my subsequent answer on this blog. How does that sound? I am sure that many, if not all, of you have similar questions on your minds as you shop for a massage chair.

Here is the question and response…

“Which chair has the best features for the lowest cost?”

Hi, Brian!
Thanks for your email. A great, but loaded question. I would have to say with the temporary low price on the Panasonic 30003 massage chair, that would be the best bang for your buck. If you are quite tall, however, this chair would not be the best for stretching out and also having the foot massage. When one is too tall, over 6′2″, the leg extends beyond the foot massager and the side of the foot and ankle get massaged instead. This chair has 5 auto programs, but no heat or seat massage. It comes in black or brown and is upholstered with man-made leather.

For aesthetics and function, we would also pick the Human Touch HT-7120 massage chair, which has a very nice look, leather upholstery, and has massage intensity adjustment along with calf width adjustment. It also has low back heat. No seat massage, no foot massager. The HT-125/135/136 chairs are a step down from the HT-7120…they do not have massage intensity adjustment, calf width adjustment, or lumbar heat. They are very reasonably priced quality chairs, however, but I would still take the HT-7120 over them for the few extra hundred  bucks.

We just received the Inada i2A massage chair and have been quite impressed with the chair. It feels very comfortable to sit in it and has pre-programmed settings, but we notice that it does not have massage intensity adjustment. Folks that have tried it out thus far, have given it rave reviews. You are looking at a little more money than the HT-7120 at $3299, but a very nice chair. It is also synthetic, man-made leather and does not have heat. It has pre-programmed settings and also has a seat massage.

I hope this helps in some way. Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. We are currently working on a chair comparison chart which will address so many comparative issues.

Panasonic 30006 Massage Chairs Around For About Another Week!

Friday, August 8th, 2008

I told you a week or two ago in this blog (http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/blog/chair-models/panasonic-30006-massage-chairs-now-availableby-phone-only/) that we had access to some Panasonic 30006 massage chairs at a very special price. Well, we found out this week that the supply is very limited and will probably be gone by next week. So, what I am saying is if you are thinking about the price and the possibility of getting this chair at this price, DON’T WASTE ANOTHER MINUTE!!

This apparently was a one-time shipment of chairs priced below cost and only in black color. We have sold a bunch of them since I made this price available, but they are almost gone. I have been asked a number of times if the brown is available…no it is not…black only. These are the massage chairs that are Panasonic’s top of the line and heretofore only available through The Sharper Image. It seems as though there are some extra chairs around since The Sharper Image filed bankruptcy.

I have no idea if more will be available, but I will notify you through this blog if more come in. But, don’t hold your breath. I was told that this was a limited supply and that is exactly how we are looking at it for now.

By the way, don’t forget that you can only order this chair from us over the phone. We don’t have it on our website and may never have it on the site if the chairs are not made available to us on a permanent basis. You can call us toll-free at 1-888-259-5380 and we’ll get your order taken care of (if there is still stock left!).
Have a great day, and thank you for your continued support and enjoyment of our site.

A Great Massage Chair Question…And My Answer

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I received a good question from one of my website visitors yesterday. He lives in England and asked a question that probably a lot of folks have…about low back pain, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease, and which massage chair would be most suitable. Below is the question and my response. I hope it assists you in some way…

Hello Dr Weidner,

I am 54 years old, fit and not overweight, but my surgeon has told me i have degenerative disc disease. I regular get bouts of sciatica in the legs usually after playing tennis or doing gardening activities and always suffering with stiffness in the back (stretching helps me very much).

Could you please advice which chair would be most helpful with my condition.

(I would want it situated in my very contempory lounge

Kind regards

S.D.

Hello, again, S.D.!
Thanks for the information. Sciatica has always been a difficult condition to handle, since it can be secondary to severe muscle spasm, herniated disc, or degenerative arthritis.

The Sogno is a delightful chair, but what makes it so interesting is this new Dream Wave technology. I am including a link to my site where a video of the chair is available. Take a look at how the seat shifts and the hip airbags work the hips. The chair, at the same time, also rotates the lumbar spine one way and then the other, while the seat is shifting and the hips are being massaged. It is certainly the most thorough of any massage chair in this area that I have ever seen.

Here is the link: http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/sogno_massage_chair.html
(Just click on the “product video” section and enjoy.)

While I was in practice, I always had a concern with other massage chairs, that the buttock and sacroiliac joints didn’t
get the attention they deserved. This Sogno is the first to take a decent stab at it.
Also, the Sogno is the most contemporary looking massage chair I have ever seen.

Now, having said that about the Sogno, let me talk a little bit about the anti/zero gravity massage chairs, the HT-7450 by Human Touch and the Sanyo 6700. These chairs were born of the decompression fad going on here in the US. Spinal decompression is all the rage for low back pain sufferers, particularly those of discogenic origin (disc problems). Human Touch and Sanyo have taken that decompression idea and coupled it with regular massage chair function. It is a novel idea and my clients seem to love it. I have the HT-7450 in my showroom and on the website, but the Sanyo 6700 is only on my website. I have never sat in the 6700. We sell quite a few of them. The idea of these chairs is to tilt the whole body back, by reclining the chair back AND tilting the seat up to about 45 degrees. Most other chairs have a reclining back of course, but the seat normally stays horizontal. The antigravity chairs tilt evetything back…almost to the point where you feel like the chair is going to slide you off the back! It opens up - decompresses - the back, particularly the low back.

You can take a look at the images through the links below to see if they look contemporary enough. The HT-7450 can look like an executive office chair when it is upright. The Sanyo looks like a pretty traditional massage chair.

http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/human_touch_ht7450_massage_chair.html
http://www.massage-chair-relief.com/sanyo_6700.html

I will get a shipping quote later today for the Sogno. If you would like a shipping quote for any of these other chairs, let me know. By the way, the Sogno ships in two boxes, whereas the other two models ship in one.

Massage Chair is Astrological Love Lucky Item!! Who Knew??

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

I just ran across an astrology website and found something that made me laugh with joy. It is a daily love horoscope and for the day of Saturday, July 19, 2008, and for the sign of Pisces, it lists “massage chair” as the astrological love lucky item for the day!  Isn’t that great? I love it!

http://horoscope.tesnique.com/pisces/free-daily-love-horoscopes-forpisces2008july-19-saturday/.php#comment-2884

I knew that massage chairs were special but I had no idea that they were a love lucky item. Well, Pisces, you better get yourself a massage chair…if you want to  be lucky in love. Hhhmmm, I wonder what the lucky love item is for Leo today (that’s me)? Oh well, I just checked and it is a “face washer”. That isn’t nearly as neat as a massage chair…what is a face washer anyways?

Inada Massage Chairs Now All Up On Our Website!

Monday, August 4th, 2008

I told you a number of weeks ago that we were in the process of getting the Inada massage chair line on our website. Well, today they are all up. Of course, we have had the now infamous Sogno massage chair up on the site, but now we also have the i2A, Robo Chair D-5, and Robostic D-6 massage chairs on our site. You can visit and check out each of them simply by clicking on the links above.

The D-6 is an interesting massage chair as it has a joystick with which you can make your massaging adjustments. Quite a novel idea, particularly for kids like mine who are very accustomed to playing video games!!

We received the i2A massage chair by Inada the same day we received the Sogno and I will say that although it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the Sogno or the Robo chairs have, it is a fantastic chair. It retails for $3299, which is a great price for a very well-built and reputable chair. One comment we received about it from a visitor to our showroom was that he felt like he was sitting in a race car, as opposed to sitting on a firm chair, which is how he felt some of the other models seemed to him. He felt like it hugged him nicely when he sat in it.

Inada i2A massage chairInada D-6 Robostic massage chairTheir is no foot massager on it, but the calf massage is quite intense. There is also no massage intensity adjustment on this i2A model. The massage on this chair, however, is fairly light so that it should cater to most spines. And, of course, the best way to adjust the intensity of any massage chair that doesn’t have an intensity adjustment is to simply recline the chair back to varying levels so that gravity plays the role of intensity adjustor! Does that make sense? In other words, the further back you recline, the more intense the massage is because of the pull of gravity on your body INTO the massage rollers.

Check out the chairs and let us know if we can answer any questions about them.

Have a super day!

Panasonic 30006 Massage Chairs Now Available…By Phone Only

Friday, August 1st, 2008

We have been notified by Panasonic that we are able to make the Panasonic 30006 massage lounger, previously only available through The Sharper Image stores, available to our clients. However, this news is quite new, so we don’t have the chairs on our website yet. But, we can sell them over the phone. The 30006 is the top of the line chair of the 30000 series from Panasonic. You can go to this link to check out the comparison between the 30006 and the 30003 and 30004 that we already have on our website. It is a great way to evaluate the different Panasonic models to compare and contrast:

Panasonic Chair Comparison

The best part of all is the price. These chairs sold for $4999 at The Sharper Image, but we are making them available to you for $3699.  This is a substantial savings (duh!) and while the supplies last, you should take advantage of the pricing.  As of today’s date, we can only make the black model available.

By the way, we currently have the price of the Panasonic 30003 massage  chair at $2499, quite a savings from the regular $3999 pricing.

Call us at 1-888-259-5380 and we can answer your questions and place your order for you.
